Some Thoughts...
1. Relax... and be flexible... need not get so hype-up when things do not go as planned... A plan is just a plan... It's suppose to support execution that leads to the end-point.
2. Smile... whether things go wrong or go right... Especially when the culture and context are different. Very often, we "write" our reactions on our faces. Are we aware? Be aware! People interpret and react to, based on how they interpret - which is beyond our control. However, we could minimise the impact by being more aware of our body language and know how to manage it :D
3. It's good to leverage on the positive nodes around us to be more efficient or productive. No doubt it's good to be independent and find the solutions (or our way) on our own, nothing beats inputs from the experienced locals! This is especially so when time is not at our side.
4. Sometimes things simply doesn't work out in a logical way. Or it's against our principle. Well, if it doesn't cause any harm, let's leave the principle behind for a while.
5. Good to have an inquiry mind. On the other hand, sometimes it's good to consolidate and question later...
6. Practise give-and-take helps to manage differing expectations. When it's nevermind, so let it be nevermind... No one wins or loses.
7. Appreciate the uniqueness of one's history, beliefs and culture. No matter how similar things across the globe look like, there's always some differentiating features. Each has its uniqueness. So, let's appreciate that uniqueness :D

It's a very short trip... a day a place, certainly doesn't do justice to what each place could offer. It's just a taste of the iceberg. So, let this orientation trip unfolds the future paths for more thorough and in-depth exploration into the rich history and culture...

Criterion (ii): The historic monuments of ancient Nara bear exceptional witness to the evolution of Japanese architecture and art as a result of cultural links with China and Korea which were to have a profound influence on future developments. Criterion (iii): The flowering of Japanese culture during the period when Nara was the capital is uniquely demonstrated by its architectural heritage. Criterion (iv): The layout of the Imperial Palace and the design of the surviving monuments in Nara are outstanding examples of the architecture and planning of early Asian capital cities. Criterion (vi): The Buddhist temples and Shinto shrines of Nara demonstrate the continuing spiritual power and influence of these religions in an exceptional manner.
